My car is going to need replaced soon, just as a 250hp AWD GM wagon is coming out. Is anyone else as excited as I am?

Not excited, but If it’s anything better than an allroad and all track it’s a win in my book, plus I have a regal turbo in the family and I swear it’s a performer

For the first time in a long while, I actually want to buy a car new. I’ll give it at least 2 years to work out any teething issues, but I’m down for the Preferred 1SB model in a good shade of blue. An AWD turbo-4, automatic wagon? HELL YES.

I need an auto as my left knee periodically locks up. I also will eventually need a backup vehicle that’s more hauling-friendly than a Miata and can seat at least four occupants safely.

I know I’m going to end up hating it, because I’m going to see it sooo much. Living in the mid west there is plenty of people who would love a Subaru Outback, but 1 are too “patriotic” to own a Subaru, and 2 don’t want to deal with a dealership that’s 2 hours away. But Buick is ‘Murican, and there’s a Chevy, buick,GMC dealership right in town. If it’s as popular as the Encore it’ll be everywhere within a few months. But at lest it’s better looking.

The Envision exists, too.

Yeah, I live in Central Ohio. To quote my mother in law when we picked up my wife’s Encore, “a Buick? Why don’t you buy GM car or at least something American?” Ah, life in the Midwest...

Well it does look like foreign car. It always shocks me how ignorant people are when it comes to cars. My boss is a 28 year old man who pretends to know about cars, he didn’t believe me when I told him Honda and Lexus aren’t part of the same company.

That’s a common one I hear too. I always figured it was because people place Honda ahead of Toyota and Lexus ahead of Acura and fill in the blanks lol

I like it but I’d like it more if we got a regular, non-Outbacktified version.

does look nice, good power, awd. Subaru is going to have some competition. i was eyeing a outback. Major concern with an outback, is I know 2 people who had oil burning issues. I’d even be interested if they had the old 2.5

I figure if it sells well, we may see a true wagon down the road. Honestly though, if there was just a cladding delete option, I’d be perfectly happy

But-but-but, canada doesn’t have the import ban! Surely you can still get one given that, right?

Technically I think you can get Canada-only cars too, iirc the regulations are standardized. There is a 15-year import ban in Canada for vehicles never sold in Canada or the USA.

To answer your question, yes it should be able to be imported. Is it worth the trouble? ¯\_()_/¯

So...If I sell an R33 GT-R to myself in Canada....I CAN TOTALLY IMPORT ONE LEGALLY TO THE US AND THE CUSTOMS AGENTS CAN’T DO SHIT, RIGHT!?

No, PS9. That’s not at all what I me-

BRB, BUYING AN R33 IN CANADA TO SELL TO MYSELF!!
